SHAHDANIAN

Great-Grandma Nevair was a loving mother and grandmother, whose knack for story-telling was legendary. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress (her Halloween costumes were remarkable). Nevair was an amateur artist, sculpture, poet, and pianist, and was an avid tennis player into her eighties. She worked many years as a legal secretary.
Nevair Shahdanian was a member of Holy Cross Armenian Church, NY, NY, where she was the Superintendent of the Sunday School for several years. She was a Sister of Seranoush Chapter of the Daughters of Vartan, in South Florida. Nevair grew up in Ohio and moved to Washington Heights, NY, when she got married. Later, she was a resident of Larchmont, NY, Brookfield, CT, and Boynton Beach, FL, before moving to Las Vegas to live with her daughter. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Daughters of Vartan through her son, John Shahdanian, 1051 Westwood Avenue, Old Tappan, New Jersey 07675.
