Nicholas, of Haworth, on September 25, 2012. Beloved husband of Kanella (nee Ortzanis). Devoted father of Marianna Eby and her husband Jeffrey, Thanie Petikas and her husband Theodore. Adored grandfather of Constantine, Nicholas, Nicoletta, Andreas and Kanella. Dear brother of Michael, Demetrios, Zacharias and John. Predeceased by his brother Kostantinos. Nicholas was Parish President at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Jersey City, as well as a founding director of the Community Center and Consecration of that church. He was a 35 year member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Tenafly, a member of AHEPA and Past President of Zodohos Pighi of Andros. He was the founder of the N.G.M. Valley Diner in Closter. He will be remembered for his devotion to his beloved wife, children and grandchildren, his endless generosity to all that knew him, his charismatic smile and personality, his love for his home in Batsi Andros Greece and the church. His grace, elegance and memory will be eternal. Visitation at Barrett Funeral Home 148 Dean Dr Tenafly on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
