Nicholas Onufrak Obituary

ONUFRAK Nicholas, 90, of Garfield died Sunday. Born in Habura, Czechoslovakia, Mr. Onufrak came to the United States in April of 1949 settling in New York City, moving to Clifton before settling in Garfield. He retired as a Supervisor with Whippany Paper Board of Clifton. Mr. Onufrak was a parishioner of St. Michael's Cathedral, Passaic. Survivors include: his wife of 72 years, the former Mary Hamalak; his two sons, Stephen Onufrak and his wife, Denise of Hamburg, NJ and Michael Onufrak and his wife, Jo-Jo of Garfield, NJ; his daughter, Maria Meseke and her husband, Donald of St. Charles, Ill; his two brothers, Paul and Andrew Onufrak; both of Slovakia; his seven grandchildren, Dawn, Matthew, Andrew, David, James, John and Kimberlee Jo and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 9:15 AM Thursday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Avenue, Clifton and 10 AM at St. Michael's Cathedral, 96 First St., Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, So. Hackensack, NJ. Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a Panachida at 2:30 PM.
