Peter Rosenblum Obituary

ROSENBLUM Peter R., age 71, of Franklin Lakes on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Born in Brooklyn Peter lived in Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Franklin Lakes in 1988. Before retiring Peter was a Paramedic with St. Joseph's of Wayne from 1984-2004. He has been a fireman with Franklin Lakes since 1988 and a fire inspector for the past 17 years. Peter was involved with many fire safety programs and also the Read Across America program. He was also a former fireman in South Old Bridge, NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Rosenblum(nee Masker), his children, David Rosenblum and his wife Debi of Arizona, Audra Rosenblum of Old Bridge, NJ, Michele DeRosa and her husband John of Fair Lawn and Mary Lemin and her husband Timothy of Franklin Lakes and his dear grandchildren; Sara, Rebecca A., Rebecca E., Katherine, Christian, Renae, and Ethan. He is also survived by his sister Dr. Marjorie Rosenblum and her husband Dr. John Scandizzo. Funeral Services Friday at 10 AM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. The family will receive family and friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Peter's memory to the Franklin Lakes Fire Department, c/o Franklin Lakes Borough Hall, 480 DeKorte Drive, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417. I had a lot of fun working with Pete over the years. He helped so many people in their time of need. He was a proud paramedic! I am so thankful that I got to see him once in awhile at the Shop Rite or at the Black Sheep get togethers. He will be missed by many.
