Dear Jim...Kim & I are so sad to learn of Dad's passing...he and Ginnie were very special to all of us...many years of fond memories in Brigintine, Park Ridge, the Lake and Florida. Dad was a special person to so many and was given a long life to touch many lives of others...specially our youth! Love to you and yours.

Saddened to learn of Coach Derrickson's passing. My sincere condolences go out to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren

He was my basketball and football coach at PRHS. I wasn't the easiest kid to coach especially in basketball but Coach Derrickson put up with me and it was later in life that I finally understood the lessons he was trying to impart. I will always remember Coach Derrickson coaching us to victory on Thanksgiving, 1960 when we beat arch rival Westwood for the first time in several years and ended up with winning record, the first in many years at PRHS. His stroke of coaching genius was to install a single wing offense that week which completely surprised Westwood. And, I was in Atlantic City when Coach led the Owls to a state championship in basketball.

Rest in peace Coach.
