Dick and the Hiltner family are often in our thoughts and conversations. Dick will always be missed. We miss you Dick. And Carol and Jeff and David, you will always be part of our wonderful memories of the 1980s.
All the very best from the Gerrows always!

Dick has been one of our family's best friends since we met in New Jersey 23 years ago. We've watched our families grow up, and had much fun together. I always felt like I was part of the Hiltner family. And all those years at Hershey Car show, what will it be without Dick? Never the same again. It was something to look forward to every year. Dick will be missed by so many. Our thoughts are with all his wonderful family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hiltner family during this most difficult time. My maiden name was "Hiltner" and I have lived in Duncannon, PA my entire life. I remember attending Dick and Ann's wedding with my parents when I was a young girl. I thought Ann was the most beautiful bride I had ever seen, and Dick looked so very happy that day. I also remember when Ann became ill and passed away and the sadness that was felt by all. I place flowers on her grave occasionally when I walk in the cemetery near my home. I was happy to see that Dick remarried and found the happiness he truly deserved in life. I will continue to place flowers on the graves of both Dick and Ann as a tribute to our Hiltner family.
Sincerely,
Sherry Hiltner Shaffer

TO THE HILTNER FAMILY,
MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY IN YOUR LOSS OF DICK. I UNDERSTAND IT WAS SUDDEN AND I HAVE MANY MEMORIES OF WORKING WITH HIM DURING MY YEARS AS A REPORTER FOR THE LOCAL REVIEW. I KNOW THERE ARE SOME OF HIS IMFAMOUS QUOTES IN MY VAST ARRAY OF ARTICLES ACCUMULATED OVER TEN YEARS OF COVERING THE BOARD OF ED DURING ITS CONTROVERSIAL YEARS, AS WELL AS SERVING ON THE ATHLETIC BOARD WITH HIM AND AT SO MANY SCHOOL AND TOWN FUNCTIONS DURING THE 20 YEARS I LIVED IN MONTVALE.
DICK'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY DURING IT'S GROWTH YEARS MUST BE FONDLY REMEMBERED FOR HIS TIRELESS GIVING AND DEDICATION TO THE TOWN. I KNOW I WILL REMEMBER.
AGAIN, MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY.
