Robert DeValue Obituary
Robert "Bob", 93, of Paramus, formerly of Paterson, NJ, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. Before retiring, Robert worked for Raritan Valley Community College. He was a Member of R.C. Church of the Annunciation. Robert graduated from Rutgers University and then married and moved to Paramus to raise a family. Robert was an Navy veteran who served our country proudly during World War II.
Cherished husband of 60 years to the late Jeanne (nee McClellan). Beloved father of Peggy DeValue of Butler, Robert DeValue and his wife Louise of Paramus, Debbie Monaco and her husband Steve of Berkeley Heights, Dennis DeValue and his wife Bev of Wyckoff and Michael DeValue and his wife Ginger of Valencia, CA. Treasured grandfather of Kristin, Jacalyn, Jennifer, Matthew & Jessi. Dear brother of Ethel, the late Margaret and the late John. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday November 25, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:15 am on Saturday November 26, 2016 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by a 9:45 am Funeral Mass at the R.C. Church of the Annunciation, 50 West Midland Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.

I had the pleasure to meet Bob and Jean through the church. I would bring communion to them and we had the best time. They welcomed me as if I was a member of the family. We would have lunch and talk and sing songs. I could have stayed for hours. They had such an enormous love for their family and I learned of all their accomplishments. They were so proud. After Jean passed away, Bob and I remained friends until he moved a little too far. I will miss him. Sorry I missed seeing him and I give my condolences to his family.
