MANISCALCO Robert V., age 52 of Ramsey, lost his five year courageous battle with brain cancer on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Born in the Bronx, NY, Robert has lived in Ramsey since 1994. He was a customer service representative for Mercedes Benz of North America in Montvale for 15 years. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (nee Silvan), his daughter Jamie, his father William of Ramsey, his father-in-law and mother-in law Julius and Rosemarie Silvan of Bayville, NJ, his sisters; Frances and her husband John Martorana of Sloatsburg, NY, and Jackie and Jerry Howe of Tomkins Cove, NY, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Debbie Silvan of Apex, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert was predeceased by his mother Trudy Maniscalco in 2005. Visiting hours are Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral Mass is Friday, 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey. Interment will follow in the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to the Colleen Giblin Foundation for Pediatric Neurological & Cancer Research, 690 Kinderkamack Rd., Suite 104, Oradell, NJ 07649.
