Robert Tedeschi Obituary

Robert Tedeschi, Sr.

Tedeschi, Robert, Sr. age 63 of Wayne, formerly of Midland Park, died peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Beloved Husband, Proud Daddy, Devoted PopPop, Friend to all, Our Hero. Bob was born in Paterson and was a longtime resident of Midland Park before moving to Wayne 4 years ago. Bob was the proud owner of Tedeschi Landscaping, which brought beauty to many residences throughout Bergen County. Bob was a devoted family man who worked hard to provide a great life for his wife and children. He touched the lives of so many people by offering simple gestures of kindness that meant more than he will ever know. Bob and his high school sweetheart, Lynn, went on to build a life together, filling 43 years with beautiful memories to be cherished always; memories that will carry the family through this difficult time. Bob loved to hunt, fish on his boat, rock his Hammond B6 Organ to the classics, drive his corvette on a beautiful sunny day and spend as much time as he could with his grandsons, who just adored their PopPop. Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years, Lynn (nee Golabek), his devoted children, Nicole (and Matthew), Robert, Jr. (and Katherine) and Megan. He was Bobby's first and best friend and the first man Megan and Nicole ever loved. His grandsons were the joys of his life: Matthew (Matty-boy), Alexander Robert (his namesake) and Lukas Robert. His granimal, Rambo, kept things interesting. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Diana Kitchen, dear cousins, Dolly and Derrick Abrams, and Rocco and Sandy Calantone. His mother in law, Mary Golabek, brothers and sisters in law, Joann & Kevin McGinnis and Robin Pollard will hold a special place in their hearts for Bob. His many nieces and nephews will fondly remember his appearances as Santa, which always made for a memorable Christmas. He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Lee Tedeschi. The Tedeschi Family will have a time of gathering and remembrances on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.

If this is the same Bob that grew up on Raritan Ave in Paterson NJ then we shared many fun times. Your above ground pool, bicycle riding through the neighborhoods and just a ton of laughs are memories that you and I share. Your Mom Lee was always chasing us in a good way. REST!

My family is deeply saddened by Bob's passing. He may have only been our neighbor for a few short years, but the impact he made in this neighborhood was huge. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. I will miss him, and the big smile he got on his face when he spoke of his beloved family. Please accept our deepest condolences.
