Ruth Kenny

KENNY Ruth E. age 94 of New Port Richie FL (formerly of Demarest) on April 2, 2007 at the Marliere Care Center in New Port Richie FL. She came to Florida with her husband Tom in 1976. For many years Ruth and Tom were
"snowbirds,
" however with Tom's death in 1984 Ruth decided to remain a
"Floridian.
" She is survived by her four sons Thomas of New Milford, Terrence of Park Ridge, Theodore of Andover, Timothy of Bergenfield, two daughters Carole Ann Krause of S. Daytona Beach FL, Jo Ann Weiss of Zephyrhills, FL., ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, a sister Margaret Taylor of New Milford and a sister-in-law Dorothy Heffernan of Norwood. Ruth graduated from Tenafly High School in 1930 and worked at Met life in NYC. She met Tom Kenny and they were married October 15, 1932 at St Cecilia Church Englewood. After the war Tom and Ruth found their dream home, a nine room barn on two acres in Demarest. These were happy years with many family get togethers and the birth of their youngest daughter Jo Ann on October 15, 1954, their 22nd wedding anniversary. Ruth will be missed by all who touched her.
