Ruth Kurz Obituary

KURZ Ruth (nee Frost), 93 of Passaic and Clifton died on July 6 of natural causes. She was predeceased by her husband, Nathan, in 1984 and is survived by her four children, Esther Bell of Passaic, Dr Alan Kurz and his wife Karen Lindsay, Dr. Ira Kurz and his wife Stellah and Anne Zenn and her husband Jeffrey and nine grandchildren, Rachel Smith, Joaquin Kurz, Laurent Kurz, Nicole Zenn, Jackie Zenn, Melanie Zenn and Adeline Goss, Tom Thomas and Jim Thomas. Ruth was predeceased by two sisters Eleanor Mendelson and Sylvia Kitchener and is survived by her brother Dr. William Frost. Ruth was born in Passaic and lived in Passaic and Clifton almost her entire life. Together with her husband Nathan, she owned and operated Kurz Jewelers in Passaic for forty years. Active in Jewish affairs, she was both a lifelong member of Congregation Tifereth Israel in Passaic and Hadassah. Ruth was a warm, caring woman who will not only be missed by her family but by all who knew her. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday July 8, at the Passaic Junction Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ, under the direction of Jewish Memorial Chapel 841 Allwood Road Clifton 973-779-3048 www. jewishmemorialchapel.org
