Barry McDaniels
Barry McDaniels, 73, of Malinta, Ohio, passed away at Northcrest Nursing Home, Napoleon, on Aug. 5, 2025.
He was born on Jan. 20, 1952, to the late Donald and Wylda (Rhea) McDaniels, in Chillicothe, Ohio. On May 8, 2004, he married Tracy Krout at Malinta Methodist Church and spent a loving 21 years together.
He was involved in many activities that his son Brayden was involved in. Barry coached various sports and teams for youth and little league children. He was also the announcer for Patrick Henry Junior High School and Midget League sports. Barry was a proud Scout Master and thoroughly enjoyed the children and being a helping hand wherever he was needed. In his earlier years, he was an auxiliary policeman during his time in Colorado and Michigan, as well as an auxiliary fireman in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy; son, Brayden McDaniels; sister, Kathy (James) Davis; nieces, Jennifer (Ed) Hilliard, Sara (Elliot) Livensparger, Marissa Davis and Ashley (Ricky) Adamson; as well as four great-nieces and nephews.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wylda McDaniels.
Services will be private for the family. Memorials can be directed to Scouting America.
