WOODSTOCK - Dennis Henry McShane, 77, of Woodstock, CT, died January 8, 2017. Beloved husband of Sheila Maureen (Cassidy) McShane. Born January 8, 1940 in Sterling, CT, son of Henry and Gertrude (Bourque) McShane.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, Sheila McShane, daughters Kim McShane of Norwich, CT, Kate Cleveland and her husband Scott Thigpen of Birmingham, AL and eight grandchildren.
The Funeral will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:30 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Calling Hours Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489. My sincerest condolences to the McShane family. Dennis was a positive addition to our staff at Markley Motors. He was always upbeat and friendly and represented our dealership with class. I always enjoyed his stories, especially the one where he believed he was at Little Round Top at the battle of Gettysburg. He had great sense of humor and was a true gentleman. Rest in Peace, Dennis. "May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."
