JEFFREY ALLAN HALE 1974 - 2018
CANTERBURY - Jeff, 44, of Canterbury, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 15, 2018 following a year-long battle with cancer.
Jeffrey Allan Hale was born in Windham, CT on February 20, 1974 to Kathleen (Boorom) Hale and Royal Hale, Jr.
Jeff grew up in Woodstock, CT and was a graduate of Woodstock Academy, class of 1992. He also attended QVCC and UCONN. It was in high school that he met the love of his life, Bonnie Yaworski.
Jeff and Bonnie were married in Calvary Chapel on June 1, 1996. He was grateful for her partnership and love throughout the celebrations and challenges of their 22 years of married life. Together they were the proud parents of five children. Jeff was a sweet and kind man making him an exceptionally loving husband and Dad, caring and providing for his wife and children by being the spiritual leader of his home. He lived one day at a time striving to honor God in his life.
Early in life, Jeff acquired a strong work ethic that began in high school at the Eddy Dairy Farm in Woodstock. 'You work, you save, you plan for the future' was his motto.
After high school, he joined the CT Army National Guard Military Police and shortly thereafter began his work career. His interest in trucks and equipment and his likeable personality served him well, first working for Yaworski Trucking, then Rawson Trucking, and lastly, Builders Concrete East.
Jeff was a faithful member of his home church, Calvary Chapel, where he served in youth ministry and on the church council. Some simple pleasures that gave him joy were boating and water sports with his family all together at Moose Pond in Maine, which was one of his favorite places.
After the Lord, his wife and children were his most precious treasure. He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie and their children, Adelaide, Esther, Louisa, Beatrice and Byron.
Jeff is also survived by his parents Kathy and Royal Hale and sister Rebecca Locke. His sister-in-law April and husband Andrzej Korytkowski and their children, Lidia, Ben and Klara; sister-in-law Jennie and husband Dan Kapszukiewicz and their children, Eli, Ezra and Ivy; and Bonnie's parents, Mary Ellen and Denis Yaworski.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 23, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Chapel, 175 Westminster Road, Canterbury, CT. Refreshments and fellowship following the service at the Canterbury Town Hall.
