I am heartbroken by this very sad news. I first met Mrs. Blindermann at the ambulatory medical care unit at Backus hospital were we were both being treated. She always fondly called me her Italian boyfriend. She always instead that she was to sit in the chair next to mine and she always got her way. We would sit and talk for hours about everything and anything. She very much loved her family and always had hundreds of question about my family, especially about my grandson. She would Bring all different types of Jewish food and I made her Carmel pecan sticky buns. She made my day brighter and had the ability to make me forget ,for a time,my problems. To her family, sons and daughters you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. And please know your Mother will be very missed by one Italian Boy friend.

After living next to each other for over a year I attended Karen's tag sale and we finally got to meet. Wow, I had a instant friend and we became very close. When I had a bad day or she wouldn't be feeling well we could humor each other to tears of laughter! I will always carry Karen close to my heart. We shared our of love of flowers, the ocean and our families. Condolences to all of her family and friends. She loved everyone and treated all of us with love and respect. I will miss you my sweet friend.
