Richard R. Joly

Richard R. Joly November 25, 1947 - April 13, 2011 Danielson - Richard R. Joly, 63, of Upper Maple Street, passed away Wednesday at home with his family and his beloved dog Sprocket. He was born in Putnam on November 25, 1947, son of the late Lucien N. and Nellie (Hajdun) Joly. Mr. Joly attended St. James School, and was a 1965 graduate of Ellis Technical High School where he played on the baseball team. He owned and operated R. Joly Construction and prior to starting his own construction business he worked for many years with Savin Brothers Construction. Richard was also an active member and supporter of Central Cycle Club. He is survived by his sons, Derek Joly of Mansfield and Ryan H. Joly of Danielson; brother Lucien Joly and wife Judith of Bloomfield; sisters, Jeannie Bessenaire and husband Robert of Killingly, Patty Reyes and husband Mike of Hampton and Janice Joly of Danielson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Joly. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. with a prayer service at 3:00 P.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson.
