To know Steven was to love him, and I feel honored to have known him. I told him 15 years ago that he was 'cool,' and he laughed and said, "Wow! That's a 'cool' compliment." When he and Rhonda got back together, he asked if they could visit me, and when we saw and hugged one another in my kitchen, it was as if the 15 years had only been a moment. Steven looked the same, but his smile was wider, his eyes were bigger, brighter, bluer, if that's possible, and I knew right away it was from happiness. How tragic it is to lose him and the personal joy that he brought to each of us who knew, liked, or loved him. My heart goes out to all of you, and is broken for all of us.

We who loved Steven are bound together by that love.....a special group who loved a very special man. We can all help one another through this time.

I would like to thank Steven's family for their generous hospitality and understanding, their concern and caring for my Daughter, for including my Daughter in so many ways, and for sharing Steven and their sorrow with us. The service for Steven was the most personal, dedicated, poignant one I've ever attended.

Steven will forever be in my prayers, held close to my heart, and I'll never forget him. May we each find a little more strength, understanding, and acceptance each day that passes; May we each find healing in our hearts and minds; and may Steven rest in peace in the arms of The Lord. He will always be missed.

With Deep Sympathy and Sincere Friendship, Carol Belmore?+

Steven and Christopher,

Your Father was truely one of a kind. He was hilarious and caring, and always made sure EVERYONE was good. He was kind and caring and had a very distinct personality. Mr. Sabrowske was a comedian in my eyes! There are so many funny times from Sam's Mom's apartment, back in the day!!!!

He will be missed. Keep your heads up and stay strong. You two men are two of the strongest siblings I know. May God Bless youYour parents are watching over you both, and hoping that you make the the right choices!!!!

Kindly,

Rhonda Paul (Sabrowske)

Our hearts are broken and share in your insurmountable grief at the loss of our most gracious of men (our Steven J). Steven and I shared a once in a lifetime love back in 1993, and never loved the same since. It was our most treasured moment to have reunited on facebook in September of 2010; we were one another’s greatest love of a lifetime and best friend. We reestablished a relationship almost immediately; and soon became engaged. I only wish we had more time together to live out our most desired dream but will be forever grateful for the time we did have together. Everyone who has had the privilege to meet this humble, compassionate, gentle and extraordinary man all agree what a beautiful individual he is and how thankful they were to know him. My friends and family adored him. He radiated joy; he brought friendship, smiles and beauty to everyone who was around him. It is an honor to say he was my friend, it is a gift to have had his precious love that I will always hold close to heart, it is my most treasured of memories to call him my fiancé. You are my family; equally as compassionate & accepting…I love you all with my whole heart. I will continue to pray for strength, acceptance and inner peace for us all. May we now take comfort in knowing our sweet Steven and his beloved sister Karen are our brightest angels and are protecting and guiding us from above. Steven, your beautiful contribution to this life will forever inspire us to carry on your capacity to love! We will honor you always in reflection of compassion, generosity, purity, dedication, humor, sensitivity and respect! I love you forever SJS!

So many treasured childhood memories of Steven and my brother getting into mischief (treasures and old times that my family hold onto and laugh and talk about still today) Seeing Steven again 4 years ago at my father's funeral was a blessing and his blue blue eyes and smiling face warmed my heart - he hadn't changed a bit in all the years gone by. My deepest and sincere condolences to your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. Know that he lives on in our memories close to our heart.
