Thomas LaPorte Obituary

Thomas G. LaPorte December 20, 1938 - April 9, 2009 NORTH PORT, FL Thomas G. LaPorte 70, of 3585 Acorn St. and formerly of Baltic, died April 9th at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born in Baltic on December 20, 1938 the son of the late Charles and Mabel (Larkin) LaPorte. Tom was employed for 37 years at Pratt & Whitney Corp. in East Hartford retiring on September 1, 1994. He was a member of San Pedro Church in North Port. Tom was married to Elizabeth "Betty" (Caisse) LaPorte who survives him. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Brian LaPorte of Versailles, Todd LaPorte of Niantic and Randy LaPorte of Jewett City. One daughter, Dawn LaPorte of Lake Leelanau, Michigan. Four grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ernest and Charles LaPorte and two sisters, Irene Blatsos and Lucille Simoneau. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 24th at 11:00 A.M. at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich There were no calling hours. Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South B. St., Taftville is in charge of arrangements.
