"Grandma Patchin" was so kind and generous to our children for the short while we lived across the street from Roy and her on East E street. Wonderful people who gave a wonderful example for us on how to be good neighbors!

Grandpa & Grandma Patchin lived across Bailey St. in No.Platte the first year we lived in the city. Wonderful neighbors, friends and substitute Grands to our 4 small children. Viola was a strong witness for serving Jesus. We got to know her a little better the last couple years. She was indeed, a good and faithful servant for Jesus. We will miss her!

What a beautiful lady your Mom was ! The Thompson kids, especially Mary Lou and Shelley have many memories of hanging out with Patchins. Our neighborhood was classic Americana where we spent so much time growing up in many neighboring home. I remember coming to Viola´s house for lunch occasionally as there was no such thing as school lunch at Washington School. There were always a variety of wayward neighborhood kids gathered around the dining room table for a nice hot meal and then off we´d go back to school. God bless her for taking care of all of us.
Much love,

We enjoyed worshipping with Viola through the Community of Christ services over Zoom. She was a pleasure to visit with during our fellowship times before and after the services. May she rest in peace

SPECIAL is the word I would use when talking about Viola. I knew her from the age of 5 and she babysit me. They lived in Washington School District and I would walk to her house after school. It was at her house I found the love a cat could provide. With my parents permission, she sent me home with that cat, her name was Cindy. I would never forget her. Tears come to mind as I write this. I work at the hospital and saw her 4 weeks ago. Had a wonderful visit with her and for that I'm grateful. There is absolutely no doubt she's in heaven and I guarantee my parents are greeting her with open arms with many others. She was not only liked but LOVED by many but none more than. I'm appreciative that she was in my life and will never forget some of her lessons. Even at the age of 96 we had a very informative conversation about life. WHAT A LOVELY LADY, I WILL MISS FOREVER. WITH LOVE Pam Hamer Hoatson.

Sweet Viola.... What a joyful, sweet and kind spirit; always happy and sharing encouraging words or yummy baked goods! I remember she used her walker to wheel over a cake to my brother. I know she will be greatly missed but most welcomed by her Lord and savior; well done good and faithful servant.

Aunt Viola was always a joy to be around and I will miss her deeply. This has been a tough 5 months. My thoughts and prayers go out to Viola Marie, Patty, Wanda, my Aunt Leva, Aunt Alberta, Aunt Bonnie and all the family during this challenging time. May God watch over us and keep us!

Viola was always a cheerful volunteer at the Lincoln County Historical Museum. She loved meeting people and shared her sewing and cooking talents with volunteers and staff at the museum. She will be missed.

There was something special about Viola that touched our hearts. She was so gifted with sewing, and altered clothes for our family for many years. We will miss her lovely smile and chatting with her on Facebook. Our deepest condolences

Viola has been a blessing in our lives since 1982. Whenever we had the pleasure of attending church in North Platte, she and Roy would have us over for dinner. No small feat as we had five children under the age of 8. She was always so patient and loving. We have enjoyed reconnecting via Zoom over the last few years. We will miss her smile, her laughter and her wisdom. She was always a faithful disciple of her Lord Jesus. May our memories of Viola bring us comfort and joy.

Viola was a remarkable person. Although she has been family my whole, I feel so blessed to have connected with her in my adult years. She will be missed. God speed Viola! May He comfort all those you left behind.
