Beulah lmhof Obituary

Beulah lmhof, 90, died Jan. 6, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Cozad.
Beulah was born on March 5, 1921, in Dickens to Francis and Esta (Matson) Wolverton. She graduated from Dickens High School in 1939.
She married Lyle Bennett on July 22, 1939. To this union eight children were born. She married Eugene lmhof on Dec. 28, 1968. They made their home in Columbus for 36 years.
In August 2005 she moved to North Platte to be in care of family, niece and nephew, Cheryl (Joe) Fisher and cousin, Ruby Edwards. In December 2010 she moved to Cozad.
Beulah was a member of Word of Life Church, the Platte Valley Historical Society and the Christian Women's Club. She loved music, poetry and genealogy, which started in high school, along with making ceramics, quilting and other crafts. She loved to travel; Gene and Beulah did lots after retirement.
She started the annual Wolverton reunion that continues today.
Survivors include five daughters, Gwynne Jirik, Carman (Lee) Merritt, Trudy Gill, Lynne (Darrell) Rasmussen; two sons, Kent Bennett, Randy (Mary Lou) Bennett; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers; four sisters; husband, Gene; daughter, Glenda Hebbert; two granddaughters; one great great-grandson; and two son-in-laws.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Word of Life Church, 3701 23rd St., Columbus.
McKown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
