Connie Marie Tines, 65, of North Platte, passed away on July 7, 2022, at UNMC in Omaha, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Aug. 20, 1956, in Sutherland, the daughter of Wayne and Joyce (Scott) Hastings. Connie graduated from Hayes Center High School in 1974 and attended Kearney State and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She married the love of her life, Mick, on Feb. 16, 1980, in McCook, and together they were blessed with two daughters. She loved working as the billing office manager with Pathology Services in North Platte. Connie was an avid Colorado Buffalo fan and also enjoyed baking, cooking and watching Rylee race motocross. She loved making everyone she met happy and was affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Nini." She loved spending time with her grandkids and watching them play sports and other activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Joyce; and her brother-in-law, John Tines. Those left to cherish Connie's memory are her husband of 42 years, Mick; daughters, Crista (Jason) Murrish of North Platte and Jamie Tines of North Platte; grandchildren, Rylee Murrish and Colton and Kyler Way; sisters, Cindy (Todd) Kinney of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Tammy (Matt) Schwenk of Hayes Center; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gayle and Patricia Tines of Gretna; sister-in-law, Lisa (Greg) Hullinger of Gretna; special nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Alexis, Andie, Alex, Katie, Kasey, Kody, John, Michael, Andrew and Madison; great-niece and great-nephew, Ensley and Eisen; and her black lab "Jig." Memorials are suggested to the Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at carpentermemorial.com. Memorial service is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Casual wear is requested. A reception will follow the service in the Carpenter Memorial family room. Connie & I hung out a lot in the summertime when we were young. She was such a happy person, always smiling. Her laugh was the best! One day I rode my brother Kirt’s mini bike to pick her up at her house. We were riding back to my house (going down the hill by the TV tower) when she suddenly fell off! Once we figured out she was ok we laughed so hard we nearly cried. All my memories of Connie were nothing but fun. I’m very sad to see her go.
Much Love ♥

Dear Mick, Crista, Jamie and family, I was so saddened to learn Connie had passed away. We shared projects back in the day when our kids were at McDaid. She was a beautiful, kind, positive person who always had a smile on. No doubt you have wonderful memories of joyful times together that will bring you joy and smiles in the days ahead. Hang onto the promise of God that you will see her again. She is now in perfect health and will be by your side always. Watch for the signs in the cardinals, the sunsets, sunrises, pennies on the ground. God will make a way. Love to you all and continued prayers.

Connie was my boss and was the best boss ever. She was the sweetest, most caring person in the world. Her family and friends meant the world to her. I loved coming into work in the morning and greeting her with 'good morning'. She always talked about her family and grandchildren. I loved her family stories and listening about Rylee and her motocross. I will miss her so very much. To her family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Although Connie and I never met in person, we "worked" together through the years. I work in an outreach lab in Omaha where her company has done business for many years. We have discussed everything from coding and billing to family, grandchildren and activities that we have both been involved with. I will miss our conversations and discussions. To her family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Hold the memories deep in your heart.
