Harold A Weaver

Harold A Weaver, 84, of North Platte, died Dec. 29, 2011, at his son and daughter-in-law's home in Littleton, Colo.
Harold was born on Nov. 28, 1927, in Ogallala. He married Phyllis McCord in 1950 and had two children, Jeff and Dave. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone and always had a smile behind those hazel eyes.
He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years. But his real passion was working on cars or fixing anything he could get his hands on.
Survivors include his brother, Ed, of Mariposa, Calif.; sister, Twyla, of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, Dave; daughter-in-law, Sheri, of Littleton, Colo.; Two grandchildren, Ashley Weaver, of Escondido, Calif., and Bode Weaver of Thornton, Colo.; sister-in-law, Nancy Backencamp; sister-in-law, Gloria Weiss; sister-in-law, Jody McCord; brother-in-law, Dan McCord; brother-in-law, Jim Backencamp, several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by wife, Phyllis; son, Jeff; parents, Ross and Ethel Weaver; sisters, Vetta (Tiny) Thornburg, and Phyllis Weaver; brother-in-law, Keith Thornburg; mother-in-law, Edythe McCord; father-in-law, John McCord.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established. Online condolences may be shared at carpentermemorial.com Visitation will be Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
