Jody Doucet

1960 - 2022

Jody Lu Doucet, 61, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ. Jody attended the North Platte Public Schools and graduated from North Platte Senior High in 1979. She joined the U.S. Air Force in June 1980. She had a security clearance with duties entailing Morse Code Teleprinter Operator and Crypto Operator. She worked as a United States Postal Worker, and also in nursing homes. While in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she received a diploma in medical studies-health unit coordinator. Jody loved to sing and was a beautiful singer. She had sang with several bands. Jody was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Curtis Doucet, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Marguerite June (Nansel) Doucet; brother, Curtis (Jinhee) Lee and brother Darren (Donna) Nansel all of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Jody lived in Old Colorado City, Colorado. Graveside service is at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
