Dina Pollacci Obituary

Dina Pollacci May 16, 1915 ~ July 6, 2006 PACIFIC GROVE - Dina Pollacci, age 91, passed away on July 6, 2006 at Country Place in Antioch, CA. She was born in New Mexico on May 16, 1915 and grew up in Pennsylvania. After moving to the Pittsburg/Antioch area, she married Frank Pollacci. Dina retired from Rhodes & Jamison Cement Company after 35 years. She and Frank moved to Pacific Grove in 1981. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988. Dina is survived by her son, Ronald (Jean) Pollacci; six grandchildren, Victoria (Mark) Grosze, Mark (Christy) Pollacci, Tom Pollacci, Ronna (David) Berkowitz, David (Brenda) Pollacci and Julie (Mario) Sampaolo; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, James (Camille) Pagnini; her sisters, Lorraine Higgins and Lena Wik and many nieces and nephews. Dina was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, Sons of Italy and other organizations. She loved to travel and often visited relatives in Italy as well as in this country. Dina's family held a private celebration of her life at St. Angela Merici Church on July 10 under the direction of The Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove. She was a much-loved mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
