Edwin Wilson Obituary

On June 22, 1968, Edwin Leroy Wilson burst into this world. He was welcomed by his father Bruce Myron Wilson and his mother Barbara Ann Wilson. He had 5 older brothers and sisters waiting at home to cuddle and spoil him, he was their little prince. Madison Wilson taught him to love Elvis and he did. Betty Wilson who spoiled to pieces, she was his Betts. Cathy Chroniger who played farm sets with him and started him on his love of farming. Jeff Wilson who would have eating contests with Ed and believe it or not Jeff won, he swallowed a whole Dixie sub in 1 bite. Dawn Reynolds who he would give his coloring book pages to and when she received her first paycheck she bought him his first Cockatiel named Cheryl. Then Ed got a little sister Egenia Sine, she was the little princess. She kept Ed in line except for the time he gave her, her first homemade haircut. To round out the family his little brother Chris Wilson came, you didn't find one without the other, trapping, fishing, hunting, and jumping off cliffs without his mom knowing. They were inseparable. He loved his family immensely.

Then the journey for him to start his own family commenced and he traveled to Maryland, "So he could mix up the gene pool". And on February 13,1987, he married Dana Marie Wilson and came out of the courthouse to a parking ticket. So the legacy of his family begins with 5 sons. Curtis John Fredericks (CJ) He brought sense to his dad and helped him grow. Luke Anthony Wilson a calming presence and a mechanical genius like his dad. They worked on a lot of old farm equipment and vehicles. Zeb Zachariah Wilson who has a love of birds and jungle fowl like his dad. They could watch birds for hours. Bruce Myron Wilson who would talk and daydream with his dad about the birds and animals they wanted and show off their pens and birds they did have. Mark Nathaniel Wilson who got his sense of humor from his dad they would joke all the time. They also watched History Chanel marathons together. Ed loved being with his boys and gave them a love of nature, animals and science. He always wanted them to join him in his animal forays, once buying a pony and bringing it home in his plumbing truck. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Kai Fredericks his little mouse who he played cheeseburger man with. Millie Wilson and Isla Wilson his little farm helpers and egg gatherers. Then recently he had the pleasure of welcoming Naomi and Gavin.

Ed was a Master Plumber, a man who took pride in his craft. Outside of his profession, he was deeply connected to his farm. He had a special bond with the land, his animals and countless birds that filled his world with joy. He loved tending to his farm a place he built up over the years for him and his family to enjoy. Edwin was a man of a big heart and even bigger personality. His laughter and larger than life spirit brought light to every room he entered. His kindness, generosity and infectious enthusiasm made him a true force of nature and his presence will be missed by all who knew him. Though Eds time with us was tragically brief, his legacy will live on in the countless memories he leaves behind. He loved life in all its fullness and he embraced it fully until the very end. We take comfort knowing he wouldn't of had it any other way, he truly lived as only he could. Ed is survived by all his family mentioned previously plus his friends, and all who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. KIRK OUT!!

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Valley Funeral Service. The family will receive friends an hour prior.

There lots of things I could say about Ed. He was kind, thoughtful, generous, loyal to the people he loved. He loved his family and that included my family. We could count on him for anything. I will miss his huge belly laughs, big hugs. and the way he cared for all of those he loved
