Eunice was also a member of the Nitro High School Band and the Honor Society of Nitro High School. I believe she was also the Valedictorian of the class of 1950. It was my privilege to have known her while in High School.

One of my favorite WCHS teachers in the early '80's! Twice Mrs. Knight was my English teacher. The world was a better place because she shared her wisdom, time and talent for her students.

John, Sorry to hear about your mothers passing too late to attend the funeral in Front Royal. Eunice was a sweet lady and I recall her fondly at Loving Arms. She mentioned her Sheltie dog often. She mouthed the words to hymns sung by Burl Ives when his CD was played in the dining room. She was so helpful to her roommate Martha Livingstone, pushing her to and from the dining room. She had art degrees in college in common with my mother. When she first arrived she seemed so intelligent and articulate it was surprising for her to even be a resident. She loved to read books then. She and numerous other residents were included in my making sure that they saw Lawrence Welk on Sunday evenings. God bless her in eternity.

Mrs. Knight was a wonderful teacher. I had her for two years in high school and she had a special way to share Shakespeare. After school when I saw her, it was seeing an old friend. Thank you Mrs. Knight for sharing your passion and taking time for your students.
