Frances Leeds Obituary
A graveside service for Mrs. Leeds will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Riverview Cemetery with Rev. David Howard officiating.
Mrs. Leeds was born in Strasburg, VA on June 1, 1915 a daughter of the late George Carter and Mary Louise Stover Marshall. She was a 1932 graduate of Strasburg High School and a longtime and devoted member of Strasburg Presbyterian Church, where she was the oldest member of the congregation. Mrs. Leeds had a love for nature, gardening and her artistic painting. She will be remembered for her gallery art showing in 2009 at the Strasburg Library. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Wesley Leeds and a sister, Dorothy Steed.
Survivors include her children, Karen Sue Leeds Jackson and husband, Bruce of Winchester, VA and Ralph M. Leeds of Strasburg, VA; a grandson, Matthew Ryan Leeds of Edinburg, VA.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7-9 P.M.
