Gregory Sisk Obituary
Gregory Lee Sisk
Gregory Lee Sisk, 48 of Front Royal passed away August 20. 2008 due to a farming accident at his home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 2PM at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Rev. Larry Andrews. Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Greg was born in Front Royal on September 11, 1959. He was the son of Jacob Sisk and Ann Lynn Atkins Sisk of Front Royal.
He was a loving husband to his wife Pamela Henry Sisk for 27 years.
He is survived by a son, Gregory Lee Sisk, II and his wife Melissa; a daughter, Shelly Sisk and her fiancé Tracey King; and two beautiful grandsons, Dillon and Noah Sisk; his mother-in-law Margaret "Sissy" Day; his sister, Sharon Greaser, his best friend, and her husband Brent Greaser who was more like a brother than a brother-in-law; a sister, Melody Heflin; a brother Tim Sisk and his wife Becky; sister-in-law Sally Smith and Glen Smith; five nieces, Amber Smith (baby Trae), Allison Greaser, Jessica Heflin, Ashley Sisk, and Cayton Sisk; six nephews, Gleni Smith, Jacob Greaser, Christopher Cochran, Michael Cochran, Jeremy Heflin and Kyle Sisk. He was also survived by many other loving family and friends.
You always saw Greg with a smile on his face. He owned and operated Greg Sisk Contracting for the last 7 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and farming. He was a staff member of the Warren County Jr. Bass Anglers Club, and a member of the Massanutten Archery Club. He was Assistant State Youth Director for the BASS/ESPN Virginia State Program.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Atkins, Johnny Jones, Alan Atkins, Chuck Taylor, Vance Cave and Ralph Santmyers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Reese Hensley, Paul Thomson, Jacob Greaser, Brent Greaser, David Robinson, Pat Sheppard, Alvin McDonald, Gary McDonald, Donald Santmyers and the Massanutten Archery Club.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 7-9PM.

God has taken one of the best! Greg was a true gentleman who will be missed by us Fishin' buddies from Saugerties. I can picture him strolling up and down the stream with his bandolier of 'ham sandwiches in a can' for himself and whoever may have needed one.
