Julie M. Sprint

Julie M. Sprint, 85, of Winchester died Wednesday at a local nursing home.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester by the Rev. Frank Sprint Crim.

Mrs. Sprint was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Frederick County, daughter of Joseph Stephen and Minnie Marple McCarty. She retired as assistant manager for Willow Lawn Swimming Pool and Market and was a caregiver. She was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church. She was the wife of the late James A. Sprint Jr.

Surviving are two sons, James A. Sprint III of Winchester and John F. Sprint of Clarke County; a sister, Irabutta Winslow of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Holiday Inn, Millwood Pike, Route 50 East, Winchester.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick County Esther Boyd Animal Shelter, 161 Fort Collier Road, Winchester 22603; or the Humane Society-SPCA, 115 Featherbed Lane, Winchester 22601.
