Kyle Holbert Obituary

Kyle Wayne Holbert, 60, of Strasburg and formerly of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2017.

He was born on December 29, 1956 in Rockbridge County to Ralph and Elsie Holbert.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kate and Hugh Holbert.

Surviving is his wife, Patty Holbert; mother, Elsie E. Holbert; sons, Jerry Armentrout and his wife Leigh, Christopher Armentrout and wife Tina and Brandon Holbert; seven grandchildren; sisters, Vickey McDaniels and her husband Gene, Frances Carter and her husband Rusty, and Donna Deneen; brothers, Timothy Holbert and Jeffrey Holbert; and a special aunt and uncle, Lyndel and Leland Loan.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Funeral Home Chapel with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olive Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 12180 Back Road, Toms Brook, VA 22660.

Patty & family of Kyle,
I did not know Kyle but I do know that this is a very difficult time for you. It's never easy to lose someone you love but God promises us that we will see our loved ones again and that you will see Kyle again. Until then may your hearts be filled with the wonderful memories of joyful times spent together as you celebrate a life well lived. Please accept my condolences.

Kyle, was a wonderful man. He was a co-worker that so many of us is going to miss so much. He would joke with all of us and if you didn't joke back with him he taught you were mad at him.
