Four years now that Reuben has been gone, but among the members of my forum he is still, and always be, missed, for his kind help, his knowledge, and just the simple fact that he was among the rarest of those seldom seen creatures: a good guy. I miss our phone calls.

Reuben was a very good friend to me and it was a shock to hear of his passing, we shared a # of common interests such as weight training, collecting physical culture material, football, we had some great times together and he will be truly missed. He was a good man, good father and good friend. My thoughts are with his wife Kathleen and children--Austin, Jason, and Rebecca--Rest in Peace Reuben .

My sincere prayers and condolences to Reuben's wife and children. Reuben was a great contributor to our beloved iron game. At the 2014 Oldetime Strongman Dinner, he showed up with a pair of old dumbells that he new meant a lot to my collection. That was Reuben, always looking out for the interests of others. He will be greatly missed.

I was a year behind Reuben at AHS, and met him in chemistry class his junior year. He always had a smile on his face, and made me feel welcome among all the other juniors from day 1. So very sorry to hear of his passing; my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Very saddened by the news of Reuben's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Great guy and one of my favorite teammates.

I was a fellow classmate of Reuben's at Annandale High School. He was truly a gentle giant with an easy smile. I wasn't part of the popular jock group -- but that didn't matter to him. He was still friendly. Prayers and condolences for his family and friends. Heaven just added another member to its football team. RIP, Reuben.

Never met you personally but I followed your posts and was impressed at how you kept the ATOMS in the forefront. You sent me a pic of me with other Teammates as we played for the 1957 team and Mr. Bolding. Thank you for your kindness and may God heal the grief your family is feeling. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal! As an old Annandale fella starting at the elementary to St. Mikes and then AHS I salute you and may God Bless! May you forever rest in His arms!--Ronnie

I can proudly say that I was a team mate of Reuben's on the Atom's football team. But Reuben was able to go further, and become a team mate of every Atom's football team, even if he wasn't a player, with his tireless work and support of past and present teams. Well done Reuben. Well done.

I never knew Reuben personally, but I had the opportunity to correspond with him by messaging. He was a gentleman I admired for several reasons, his vast knowledge, his willingness to share, and mostly, it was apparent that he had a deep and immutable love for his family. My prayers are with the Weaver family and all of Reuben's loved ones.

In my six decades in the iron game, Reuben remains unique among people I admire: an expert in what he selected to study, but an expert with humility always willing- and pleased- to help anyone he deemed serious. I try to have no hate in my life, but I hate that Reuben was taken so young. May his family feel the love that so many are now wishing toward them. Rest in peace my friend.
