Richard DeCristofaro Obituary

Richard James DeCristofaro, 71, of Front Royal, VA, died on Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Denise Bates. Burial will be held at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA at 2 p.m. with military honors.

Mr. DeCristofaro was born February 11, 1944 in Boston, MA, son of the late George DeCristofaro and Jean Savickas Bartashy.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War.

He retired as the owner of R&M Trucking.

Surviving are two daughters, Rachael Knight and her husband, Tommy, and Anjela DeCristofaro and her companion, Brian Haines, all of Front Royal; two brothers Jay Patton of Annandale, VA and Michael DeCristofaro of Rhoadesville, VA; and five grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne DeCristofaro and Jeff Patton.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Knight, Brian Haines, Jerry Brown, Hunter Williams, Devon DeCristofaro, and Jeffrey Miller.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
