Ruth Lear Obituary


Ruth Ellen Funkhouser Lear, 64, of Edinburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.

Ruth was born on September 7, 1956 at Maurertown, Virginia, the daughter of the late Paul Funkhouser and Evelyn Silveus Funkhouser.

She worked as a line inspector at George's for forty-six years.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Todd Lear of Edinburg; a son, Bryant Lee Lear of Craigsville; a sister, Mary Atkins of St. Luke; three brothers, Thomas and Ernest Funkhouser, both of Edinburg and James Funkhouser of Bentonville.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, 2:00 PM at Christ Reformed Church Cemetery, Conicville.

Arrangements are in the care of Heishman Funeral Service, Inc. and Valley Funeral Service Branch, Bowman's Crossing.
