Steven Paul Obituary


Steven Douglas Paul, 60, of Fort Valley passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Fort Valley Firehall.

Mr. Paul was born December 16, 1964, in Woodstock, son of Glenna Coverstone Beitel of Fort Valley and Edwin D. Paul of Culpeper. He was a 1983 graduate of Central High School. After graduation, he served for 3 years in the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the service, he spent many years working as a carpenter in the Bryce area.

Surviving, along with his parents, are his wife, Judy Paul of 31 years; his daughter, Amanda Peters of Bridgewater; son, Jim Paul and girlfriend, Ryanne Lary of Fort Valley; brother, Jimmy Paul of Fort Valley and grandson, Cason Brendlinger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Paul.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fort Valley Ruritan Club or Fort Valley Fire Department.

Steven loved hunting, fishing, traveling in his RV, and restoring classic cars. In all his travels, he never met a stranger. He loved meeting new friends everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
