Vernie Frye Obituary

The last words that our loved one shares with us is meant to be impactful. It is a way to bring peace to those that are passing and to give those that are grieving a since of comfort. The last four weeks of Vernie's life were not the easiest but as always, he never complained. He talked about when he got better, what the future would hold, what rig he would like to have, where he would like to go and what concert he would like to see. As Vernie continued to decline, talking got harder, so it was about just being present, listening to whatever was on tv or listening to music together. When the time came to say goodbye, those last words weren't just for me, they were for everyone who has ever been touched by Vernie's gentle soul. "It's going to be okay, you are going to be okay. I am not afraid. He has bigger plans for me." And with that, early Monday morning, May 12th, Vernie was called home.
