Roy "Tom" Collier

Tom Collier, age 61 of Crestview passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at his home. He was born in Anderson, S. C. to Albert and Qutenne Collier on March 23, 1955. Tom served his county in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years. Tom and his family moved to Crestview in 1997. He worked as a government contractor until the fall of 2015. Tom loved the outdoors, he loved to hunt and fish, he loved the Lord, and he loved his family. For 9 years he and his wife touched many lives by being foster and adoptive parents. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, a 10 month old daughter Susan Michelle Collier and an Aunt Alice Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years Rhena Collier; children: Jessica Pratt and her husband Kenny, Tommy Dean Collier, Gary Collier and his wife Becky, Diana Lynn Collier, Travis Wayne Collier and his wife Vicki, Shaun and Shane Collier, Angelina Collier and God Daughter Taylor Grace. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The celebration of Tom's life will be on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Baker, with Rev. Geoff Prows officiating. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
