Elna Lenore (Fisch) Ru Lon passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 8, 2018 in Crystal Lake.
She was born on February 18, 1939 in Deep River Iowa. She graduated from Iowa Teachers College with a degree in Speech Therapy. She lived in Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerald Alan Ru Lon; daughters, Lorraine Ru Lon Morris (Ken) and Leigh Ann Ru Lon Lapka; grandchildren, Curtis, Samantha and Rex; and sister, Carol Horras; and brother, Keith Fisch.
She was a teacher, speech therapist, and business owner. She loved her family, traveling, gardening and horses. Lenore always remained an Iowa farm girl at heart, and will be buried next to her family in Deep, River. Until Altzheimers took over, she was active in Questers, Book Club and her grandchildrens lives.
She will be greatly missed.
