Madeline Willard

Madeline Willard, 87, of Crystal Lake, died peacefully on March 29, 2026, in her home.

Madeline was born in Chicago on June 26, 1938, to parents Anthony and Jeanette (nee Zawlik) Gattuso.

Madeline worked for Willow Creek Community Church for many years in the food court, and took pride in all that she did. She loved being outside and greatly enjoyed gardening and yard work. Madeline loved to end her day with a nice dinner and a glass of wine. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and friend, and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Madeline is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Frank) Capaci, her grandchildren, Mario (Caryn), Angelina, Niko (Kate), Lauren (Jason), and Jordan (Jamie), her great-grandchildren, Gyana, Mia, Francesca, Mario Jr., Emma, Gabe, Domanic, Vivi, Easton, and Lillian, her sisters, Josie, and Patricia, and her brother, Joey; along with her loving companion, Steve. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Les, her son, Les Jr., and her brother, Bobby.

Visitation will be Monday, April 6, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL.

Burial will be Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
