Died: July 26, 2017; in Barrington, IL
Erika Cychner, age 53, of Genoa City, WI passed away Wednesday morning July 26, 2017 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, IL following a 5 year battle with cancer.
The former Erika Falberg was born on December 17, 1963 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Harry R. and Marilyn J. Kennedy Falberg. Erika lived her early years in Cary, IL and graduated from Cary-Grove High School, Class of 1982. Erika also lived in Wonder Lake, IL before moving to Genoa City 16 years ago.
Erika worked as a Project Manager for the Sanmina Co. in Pleasant Prairie, WI. for 10 years. Erika enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago Blackhawks, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed her boys going through Badger High School and could be heard in the crowd cheering them on in football and wrestling and track.
Erika is survived by her 3 sons, Joseph, Thomas and Andrew, all of Genoa City, WI; granddaughter, Bentlie Rose Cychner; her father, Harry R. Falberg of Lake Geneva, WI; 2 sisters, Nanette (Bruce) Haase of Twin Lakes, WI and Barbara (Steve) Shippee of Alpharetta, GA; nieces, nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Joanne Falberg on April 24, 2002.
The Cychner Family would like to thank Rush Hospital in Chicago and JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, IL and her close friends for all their care and support during Erika's fight.
Erika's Family will receive friends from 3:00PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 until the Funeral Services at 7:05PM (Erika Time) at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City at 11:00AM Monday.
