Fay Halcom Obituary
She was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Donavan, Mo., to Amos and Myrtle (Folks) Gimlin.
She was a resident of the McHenry area since November 1956. Her greatest passion in life was her family, as she hosted every holiday at her home.
Survivors include her children, Leonard Halcom of Round Lake Beach, Sue (Roy) Beaman of McHenry, Gene (Judy) Halcom of Harvard, Glenda (Ron) Malcolm of McHenry, Mary Lundsten of McHenry, Richard Halcom of McHenry and David (Kim) Halcom of McHenry; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Halcom, in 1987; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, until the funeral at 1 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.

I love you Grandma. Always and forever. You have had such an influence on my life. You did so much for me. Words cannot describe how much I love you and how grateful I am to you. I will miss you more than you could believe. You were so much to my girls. Thank you for being so wonderful. I have so many beautiful memories with you. You are gone from this life, but will NEVER be forgotten. I am sure you are loving being with Grandpa. You have so much to catch up with him. I love you so very much. Enrique loves you.
