Jerome "Jerry" L. Hale, age 73, of Janesville, passed away on March 13, 2022, at home. He was born in Cairo, IL on March 9, 1949, the son of Guy and Mary (Greenley) Hale. Jerry was a graduate of Marengo High School and after graduation served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years as a Production Control Technician/ Electric Power Technician. He was married to Gloria (Kahle) Hale on July 16, 1983, and they shared 37 beautiful years together. Following his retirement from the Air Force he worked various jobs in Marengo, IL. Jerry enjoyed auto-racing, garden tractor pulling, recreational archery and playing cards with family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Gloria; 2 sons; Preston (Marshay) Hale and Guy (Angela) Hale; 3 daughters: Kathy (Dave) Millar, Debra Becker and Sandra LaLonde; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Evelyn Hammond.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would like a contribution to be made to the American Heart Association in Jerry's name. APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME, Edgerton is assisting the family. For on-line condolences: www.apfelfuneral.com
