Alex Wenglarz Obituary

ALEX "WAYNE" WENGLARZ WHEATFIELD, IN Alex "Wayne" Wenglarz, age 68, of Wheatfield, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at his home. He was born May 25, 1943 in Chicago to Joseph and Johanna (LaPatkin) Wenglarz, both deceased. He was a musician and frequently performed in The Alex Wayne Band. He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Story) Wenglarz; his children: Julie (Byron) Anderson of Hebron, Mona (Jim) Frantal of Hebron, Diana (David) Berndt of Wheatfield, Chad (Melissa) Womack of Wheatfield, and Alex Wenglarz of Wheatfield; sister and brothers: Bill (Linda) Wenglarz of Wheatfield, Tony (Jackie) Mildice of Knox, Peggy DeBartolo of IL, Lydia (Tony) of IL, Ramona (Joe) Monaco of IL; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Wenglarz; and two sisters: Marion Kurtz and Rita Schwartz. A memorial service will be held March 31, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheatfield American Legion. There will be a Celebration of Life April 1, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Wheatfield American Legion. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox, IN is handling arrangements.
