Dear Father Al, you interceded for me back in 1986 for me to stop losing my hair, and I did stop. I have almost a completely full head of hair at age 59. Now I am asking you to cure me of pancreatic cancer. Please help me, Father. I know you remember me. I worked at Argonne Lab.

Dear Father Al, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I had surgery to remove the tumor. Fortunately they got the tumor and they could not find any more cancer in my body. The tumor was stage 1b. I am very grateful because this could have killed me, but I know you interceded to save my life and I am grateful.Please make this awful hypersalivation go away and the terrible anxiety I've had for two months. Also, please get rid of this terrible hypersalivation I've had for 18 months, and this awful anxiety attacks I've had for two months. This are all terrible things that I don't deserve. I am losing my mind from this. Please interceded and make this go away. You helped me many years ago with my hair, and all these years later I still have my hair. Please help me, Father

Dear Father Al, Please intercede for me and help me get rid of this awful hypersalivation I've had for 9 months. I've seen six doctors and I've tried several medications. I even had botox injections and I am still salivating.
This depresses me and I am having anxiety attacks from it. Many years ago you interceded for me and I am forever grateful. My hair loss stopped and I still have most of my hair. Please intercede for me and get rid of this salivation. Happy Easter!

Dear Father Al, I just had four botox injections in my salivary glands to stop this terrible hypersalivation, and I'm begging you to intercede and make the botox work. Please help me, Father, I am desparate and I am having anxiety attacks from this. Many years ago, you fulfilled my prayers and saved my hair. A dermatologist told me I was going to lose all of my hair back to my crown, but now, 32 years later, I have as much hair today as I had 32 years ago. I still have 90 percent of my hair, and it was your intercession that made this happen. So please intercede for my salivary glands and botox. I know you will help you, you are very special. Many years ago, I saw you saying Mass at a church in Lemont, and I wanted to talk to you. But, as soon as Mass was over, you left. Please help me, Father. Please

I met Father Al at the Carmelite Center on Cass Avenue back in 1986. I used to go to his healing services. I had a request to stop losing my hair, and I did stop losing my hair. I give credit to Father Al and his healing power. I was saddened to hear of his death, but he's in a better place now. Ciao

well Al, it is now a year since you have returned home, a year since the pilgrim arrived at his destination. How you longed to go home and now you are there. How is it going? Are you now fully a "praise of his glory"? You are missed by those of us who are still on the pilgrims path but we know you have not forgotten us, but hold us in your heart close to the Lord. Life is not the same without you in it but your example and your foot steps beckon us forward and keep us filled with hope... thank you, Al mary ann entrup

Although Father Al was a quiet unassuming man, his very presence loudly proclaimed his love of the Lord. This was evident through his poetry, prayer life, leading of prayer meetings, but primarily by his simple and gentle example. I thank him for the many things he did for me and others. One of his most marvelous gifts was allowing me to put music to one of his poems. This united us in a beautiful prayer beyond expectation. Thank you Lord for creating one of your more lovely souls.

I will surely miss you. You did a lot for the Mt. Carmel class of 1947. You did an outstanding job of organizing our 50th class reunion at the Countryside Holiday Inn in May of 1997. That was a memorable event for the 70 of us who attended. And in subsequent years you enriched our reunions by celebrating mass at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Darien before out reunion banquet. Al, the class of '47 will miss you. Now, instead of praying for you, I can pray to you.

You influenced us all in positive ways that you never even recognized in your incredible humility. Whether it was choosing Therese as my confirmation name, or having all your nieces and nephews pick up cans after a family party; whether it was baptizing us, marrying us, or burying us you were there for every important thing we ever did; you loved our children and our stepchildren and you treated them all the same; you prayed for us when we asked and needed you to do so, and even when we didn't. You loved us all, despite our flaws and unkindnesses, and comforted each of us each time we suffered a loss. Even when our pain seemed insignificant to others, it was never insignificant to you because we were hurt, and you always let us know in the smallest of ways that we were in your thoughts and prayers. The comfort we take from your passing is to know that you are, at last, with the Lord, at peace and free of earthly pain. We shall never be able to replace you in our lives, but we will always be better because you were there. I love you, dear Uncle.
