Andrew Koval Obituary

Andrew Adam Koval California Andrew Adam Koval, October 16, 1924 - January 20, 2005, died peacefully after a long battle with diabetes and leukemia. He was born in Fox Hills, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Whiting, Indiana where he lived until he was drafted and served in the army during WWII. After the war he settled in Castro Valley, California where he earned a college degree in teaching. He taught blind students how to run machines...something he was told, "couldn't be done." He retired in 1985 and enjoyed running his almond ranch and perfecting his bowling game. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Eleanor Debrake Koval and his survived son, Andor; two brothers, Thomas (Kay), John (Maria); and four sisters, Mary (Joseph) Beda, Helen (John) DalSanto, Margaret (Joseph) Poplas, Ann (Joseph) Martin, and many nieces, nephews and cousins Andrew will be missed; may his memory be a blessing. In his memory donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Leukemia Society.
