ANN BANICH (NEE RADAVICH) CHICAGO, IL Ann Banich (nee Radavich), late of Chicago, IL, passed away September 25, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late John Banich; loving mother of Barbara Banich and Sgt. Thomas C.P.D. (Kathleen) Banich; loving grandmother of Patrick Thomas; dear sister of late Mary (late Robert) Poznanovich, late Amelia (late Jess) Simmons, late Nick (late Katherine) Radavich, late Peter (Florence) Radavich, late Rudolph Radavich, late Sam (Kay) Radavich, and late John (late Jean) Radavich; many nieces and nephews. Ann was a member of Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary, and CFU Branch 856. She was a St. George School Teacher from 1963 to 1974. Visitation Wednesday from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 9:45 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Sacred Heart Croatian Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. (773) 731-2749

My sympathy to the Banich Family-

I remember her from Kolo lessons at Sacred Heart. Mrs. Banich was friends with my mother Elaine Tinsley (Toporis) and my Aunt Mitizi Toporis.

Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the Chicago Police Chaplains' Office. Ann will be remembered at our next Police Mass (Sunday, 23 OCT, 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Home - 1140 W. Jackson Blvd). In the meantime, may her family know the healing touch of Jesus Christ during this time.
