Barbara Dunivan Obituary
Barbara Dunivan Barbara Dunivan, age 77, left this world to be with our Lord on Sunday, the 12th of June. She was a kind and loving woman. A long suffering person, understanding and non judgemental. If ever it could be said that a person had a heart of gold, that would be her. Truly a Matriarch of our family, she held the strings that bound it. So sorely missed by those of us left behind, who can only hope to one day join her in God's glory. Barbara wore many hats in life. She was a woman, a wife, a homemaker, a mother, a business woman (Mother Natures Health Foods, and Accents, Etc.) She was a kind and caring shoulder to lean upon night or day. Her theme in life was Sit long, Talk much. And in her last years, her favorite activities were going to the library, going shopping, and "Lets go get a bite to eat". She was our sunshine and always will be. She was preceded in joining the Lord by her husband, Leslie Allen Dunivan; and granddaughter, Tawnwy Marie Dunivan (Miller). She will be so sorely missed by her sisters: Betty Stephens and Beverly Richardson; daughters: Kathleen Osika, Barbara (Tom) Jurgenson, Amy Dunivan; son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Gina Dunivan; son, Walter Dunivan; grandchildren: Carmen (Sean) Boyer, Elizabeth (Brad) Eads, Stephanie (David) Lambert, Ronald (Betsy) Barnett, Timothy (Cherie) Barnett, David (Sharon) Barnett, Jamin (Julie) Dunivan, Daniel Dunivan, Acey Stagner, Brian (Jami) Jurgenson, Chris (Geneiveve) Jurgenson; great-grandchildren: Breanna, Joshua, Brianna, Reid, Nicholas, Lauren, Cheyenne, Bailey, Savannah, Darius, Michaela, Wyatt, Leslie and David. And from all of us, we would like to say Thank You Lord, for allowing us to have such a wonderful woman in our lives. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Pastor Mike Eddy officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to The Caring Place in Valparaiso.
