Brian Blount Obituary

BRIAN JOSEPH BLOUNT GOODLAND, IN Brian Joseph Blount age 26 of Goodland formerly of Brook, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident near Goodland. Born April 19, 1981 in Hammond, IN to Tracy Allen Kinley and Karen Blount. He was a mechanic at Petro Plus in Remington. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Rensselaer, the V.F.W. of Rensselaer, and the American Legion of Medaryville. Brian enjoyed fishing. Survivors include daughter, Brianne Marie Blount of Maryland; son, Calvin Fredrick Blount of Goodland; companion, Britney McCord of Goodland; mother and stepfather: Karen and Phillip Shaffer of Brook; father and step mother: Tracey Allen and Melanie Kinley of Indiana; brother, Aaron Shaffer of Brook; sisters: Brandy Lee Kinley of Indiana and Monica Shaffer of Brook; two step sisters: Jennifer Walker of TN and Phyllis Shaffer of North Judson; grandmothers: Eileen Blount of Rensselaer and Darlena Kiss of Indiana; grandfather, Jerry Kinley of Gary; great grandmother, Pam Howell of Indiana and Grandma Kinley; step grandparents: Kenneth and Patricia Shaffer of Crown Point; special aunt, Dawn Herbert Ross of Hammond; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. (CST) at the Gerts Funeral Home, Brook. Funeral services will be Monday, February 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. (CST) at the Brook Methodist Church. Reverend Sue Beckett officiating. Burial Riverside Cemetery, Brook. Memorials to Family Wishes.

Bro I am having mom sign this for me. I can't believe you and Kel have went and left me. Like Mom said just like you two. Bro I really miss you and you make sure you look after our girl. Bro I will never forget the good times we had. How about New Orleans. That was a real trip. Love you bro. and don't forget about Kel. You always did look out for her and her you. Brian was my brother and the only thing i wish, was that me and him was alot closer then what we were. Me and him have some memories that i can honestly say that i will never forget. Not only did he make memories with me, he made memories with my daughter and she hasnt forgotten them. He was a good person at heart and made everyone laugh and feel better! I will truley miss him!!!
