DAVID A. BAPST CROWN POINT, IN
David A. Bapst, age 62, of Crown Point, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Dave will be sadly missed by his wife, Kathie (nee Callaway); daughter, Julie (Mark) Dwyer of Munster, IN; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Bapst of Lafayette, IN; grandpa's five little yahoos: Katie, Jake, Luke, Nathan and Aubrey; one brother, Karl (Nancy) Bapst; one sister, Claudia (Edward) Zarndt; sister-in-law, Marianne (Tom) Gaio; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Bertha Bapst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet Street, Crown Point, IN with Rev. Patrick Kalich officiating. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Family and friends are invited to gather at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks South of Ridge Road), Highland, IN on Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. David's career spanned over 30 years in the steel industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and an avid golfer. David cherished family and friends and lived life to the fullest. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
