DRAGAN JOVIC "DANNY" KOUTS, IN
Dragan "Danny" Jovic, age 60, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was born in Vodice, Prokuplje (former Yugoslava) to the late Nikola and Ljubica (Radovic) Jovic, and came to the U.S. in 1979. For over 32 years, he served as the building and electrical supervisor of Omni 41 Health Club of Schererville. He was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. Danny was a very hard worker, but also enjoyed spending quality time with his family. A true lover of nature, he became knowledgeable in planting and harvesting fruit orchards. Since his childhood, he had a fascination for history, architecture, and love old movies. Dragan is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Lepa Jovic; two beloved children: Sasa (Mikica) Jovic of Hebron and Dragana (fiance James Runsell) Jovic of Chicago; dear grandchildren: Dusan and Nikola; brother, Miodrag (Jovana) Jovic; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, Kumovi and lifelong family friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 10:00 AM Directly at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 9191 Mississippi Street, Merrillville, IN with Rev. Marko Matic, officiating. Interment, Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Burns Funeral Hone, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point with Rev. Marko Matic, officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. A Pomen Service will be offered at 7:00 PM on Friday. Arrangements completed by Savich & Semplinski Directors.
