EDGAR JOHN WOLMS CROWN POINT, IN

Edgar John Wolms, age 81, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009, at his winter residence in Lake Placid, Florida. "God saw Edgar getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered, "Come with me". Born October 1, 1927, to Arthur and Anna (Buehler) Wolms. Survived by his loving partner, Venetia and her family; his sister, Edna Carr of Arizona; nephews and nieces of Arizona and Illinois. Edgar helped everyone he met and he will be missed by all who knew him. Edgar went into the U.S. Army upon graduating from Lane Technical H.S. After the military he went to work for R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company in Chicago, IL for 43 years. Upon his retirement he loved to travel, roller skate, dance, garden, plant trees, enjoyed all of his animals, loved to read and he was "The Original "Mr. Fixit". Edgars true passion was his love for sailing "The Wanderer" on Lake Michigan. A Military service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to, "Hope Hospice of the Calumet Area", 600 Superior Ave, Munster IN.

So sorry to hear about Edgar. We loved him, as did everyone. He had such a kind heart and would do anything for us -- we only needed to ask. He was very generous and unique. We should all live by his example. We will miss him dearly but remember him always. Love the Weber family
